Tough Mudder Fundraising Challenge 2015
Over £2,830 was raised for the orphanage!
On Sunday 2nd August 2015 eleven H&A colleagues completed Tough Mudder Yorkshire to raise funds for the orphanage and Martin House combined.
This challenge could well have been called Tough ‘Udder’… as the contributions to the orphanage have been allocated to buying a cow. This will mean the children can have fresh milk which will improve their diet and general health.
The gruelling challenge saw the team htake on a gruelling 10 mile obstacle course, testing their physical strength and mental grit! The obstacles included swimming through ice baths, mud slides and an electrocution gauntlet to name a few.
There were some injuries including a back eye and a dislocated shoulder, but the team survived and all admitted they had a great time!
The monies were raised via sponsorship and a raffle. Donations, including some made for Martin House, totalled over £2,830.
